CDMP Advisory Session: Pass the CDMP Foundation Certificate

Preparing alone often means too much reading and too little direction. In half an hour you leave with an honest picture of what the exam asks, a study plan that fits your time and background, a list of resources worth your attention, and a set of habits for the day itself. The session is advisory: you still do the studying, and passing the exam is never guaranteed.

Why a short advisory session

The exam asks for broad knowledge of data management across many areas, drawn from a long reference book. Most candidates do not need another full course; they need a sensible route through the material and someone to check that route against their own circumstances.

This session gives you that in a short, direct conversation. We look at your starting point, your available time and your worries, and turn them into a plan you can start the same day.

If you do not pass. If you attend a paid CDMP Advisory Session, then sit the CDMP Foundation exam within 90 days of the session and do not pass, you can claim a refund of 100% of the session fee, less the payment-processing fee. Claim through Contact us within 30 days of the date you sat the exam, with the exam provider's official result showing your name, the exam, the date and that you did not pass, plus proof that you attempted it. One refund per paid session, for the CDMP Foundation exam only. The exam fee or voucher is not refunded, and we do not guarantee that you will pass. See section 5A of the Refund & cancellation policy.

This is an independent advisory session; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by DAMA International or the CDMP programme.

  • The reference book is large and it is hard to tell what deserves your limited study time
  • Candidates often underestimate how quickly the exam clock runs
  • Open-book rules are misread, and time is lost searching instead of answering
  • Study plans copied from others rarely fit your own schedule and background

Training highlights

  • How the exam is structured, in plain terms
  • A study plan built around your own situation
  • Exam-day technique and common pitfalls
  • Time kept for your own questions
  • Preparation help, with no promise of a pass

How the 30 minutes run

  1. 01

We start with what the exam is, who it is for and how it is put together, so you know exactly what you are preparing for.

    Plan your study

We use your background and available time to outline a personal plan, and point you to resources that suit it.

  3. 03

We go through how to handle the clock, the open-book rule and tricky questions, and the pitfalls that catch people out.

  4. 04

Certification

This training awards a na. That is deliberately distinct from the DataAI Nexus credential, which is earned through assessed applied work judged by a qualified assessor — taking part in a training is part of that pathway, and attendance alone is never sufficient. How certification works

Questions

Frequently asked

Does this session guarantee that I will pass the exam?

No. The session helps you prepare, but passing is not guaranteed. The result depends on your own study and on the day.

What if I attend the session, sit the exam and do not pass?

If you attended the session, sat the CDMP Foundation exam within 90 days of it and did not pass, you can claim 100% of the session fee, less the payment-processing fee, through Contact us within 30 days of your exam date, with the exam provider's official result. One refund per paid session; the exam fee is not included; passing is not guaranteed. The full conditions are in section 5A of the Refund & cancellation policy.

Is this the exam itself or a course?

Neither. It is a 30-minute advisory session. It does not replace studying, and it is not the exam.

Who runs the exam, and is this session connected to them?

The exam is run by DAMA International. This is an independent advisory session; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by DAMA International or the CDMP programme.

What does the exam look like?

At the time of writing, the exam body describes the foundation-level exam as 100 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, with a 60 percent mark needed for the entry certification level. Check the exam body's own pages for the current details, which can change.

Can I bring a reference book to the exam?

The exam body publishes an open-book policy with limits on what you may use. We explain how to prepare for it in the session, but you must read and follow the exam body's current rules yourself.

Will I get a certificate from this session?

Any credential connected with the exam is awarded by the exam body, not by this session.

Is the session one-to-one or in a group, online or in person?

The trainer decides the delivery format when dates are published, so check the dates shown for this session.

What should I bring?

Bring your questions, your available study time and, if you have it, your plan so far. Notes from any earlier study are helpful.
