Best for
- Paying down documentation debt one real page at a time
- Making 'ask the person who knows' unnecessary
- Compliance work that needs items described consistently
What you give it
- The item to document and access to the real artefact
What you get back
- One page in the standard template, written from the artefact itself
- Relationships and gotchas captured, not just the happy path
- The index updated with exactly one entry for the item
How it works
- Reads the artefact itself — schema, source, policy text — before writing.
- Fills the standing template: purpose, shape, relationships, safe use, caveats.
- States a last-verified date so staleness is visible.
- Cross-links related pages in both directions.
- Adds or updates the single index entry.
Example
You: Document the refunds policy and the table that records refund attempts.
Result: Two pages: the policy summarised with its authoritative source linked and its edge cases; the table with column meanings, writers, readers and the one surprising status value — both indexed.
Limits — please read
- One item per pass keeps quality high — batches are sequential.
- It cannot document what it cannot read; name the sources.
- Secrets never enter pages; their storage location is named instead.
